Elyssa Nager, Author, Coach and Strategist
In her quest to recover from abuse, Elyssa discovered is was difficult to find professionals that understood emotional abuse and its impact on the victims of abuse.
After years of research, reading 100s of books and tens of thousands of dollars spent working with psychologists, coaches and healers of various modalities, Elyssa was able to develop a system that empowered her to move from grief, fear, victimhood and relentless anxiety to a life of empowerment, peace and self-love.
To help others fast-track their recovery and also to educate people on emotional abuse, she’s decided to share her experiences.
In Elyssa’s mind, everyone deserves to live the life they were meant to live — free of abuse and full of limitless potential. Elyssa believes that only through education can we remove the stigma associated with emotional abuse–faulting the victims–and ensure perpetrators of abuse are identified.
Are you ready to start living your life for you?
It’s easy to get caught up and caught out in all of the crap covert aggressors throw your way, but it’s time to step away and truly, deeply remember how amazing you are. Get ready to live your life from a place of joy again. You are not who your abuser says you are.
“We already have everything we need. There is no need for self-improvement. All of these trips that we lay on ourselves — the heavy-duty fearing that we’re bad and hoping that we’re good, the identities that we so dearly cling to, the rage, the jealousy and the addictions of all kinds – never touch out basic wealth. They are like clouds that temporarily block the sun. But al the time our warmth and brilliance is right here. This is who we really are. We are one blink of an eye from being fully awake.”
~ Start Where You Are: A guide to compassionate living, Pema Chodron
Who are you?
You are truly amazing. If you don’t feel amazing, breathe in, close your eyes and think about who you are. Can you see you? Truly you? Yes you can.
It’s not what they tell you that you are. They do that to maintain control. Their sole objective is to win. You know who you are.
Take those positive thoughts and feelings and start from there.
You have friends, you have family, you are social, you are loved and liked and interesting and beautiful and smart beyond what you can feel right now.
Your potential is limitless.
You are totally capable of achieving everything you desire. Remember that person. Hold onto it. You’ve got this. I know you do.
